CBC Sports: Week 1
Friday night at Chuckchansi Park, the Knights proved they are back indeed,
with a solid 42-7 thumping of the Panthers of San Joaquin Memorial.
Playing without injured fullback, Chris Nelson, the Knights got strong games
from seniors Evan Klein at fullback, quarterback Philip Brandt, running
back Clifton Rogers, along with good defensive efforts from likes of Nathaniel Moses, Terrence
Gilbert, and Todd Prieto. Bullard also got outstanding play from
sophomores, Dan Snelling, and our player of the game, Caleb Justice, who played well at
linebacker and halfback.
With one payback from last year completed (Panthers won 24-21), who's next up for
the Knights? The Clovis High Cougars, who romped in the last meeting, 75-0. Game time,
7:30pm right back at Chuckchansi Park.
Our KJEO Game of the Week for Week 2 will feature a game between the Grizzlies
of Central High taking on the Patriots of Hoover High School at Sunnyside Stadium.
